Attracted to fashion since his youth, Rocco Barocco moved from Naples to Rome back in 1962, starting his work in Patrick de Barentzen’s atelier. In 1964, he started a partnership with Giles that lasted 10 years. Then he opened his own atelier in Piazza di Spagna. In 1979, after the success of his haute couture line, he presented his first prêt-à-porter women’s collection.
He is known for his sexy and feminine creations. He has been awarded several times: Maschera d’Argento award in 1967, Singer award in NY in 1973. Nowadays, Rocco Barocco is one of the most appreciated Italian designers around the globe. Every year he develops new prêt-à-porter collections (both male and female) in Milan during the fashion week.
